Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI), was formed in 1977 with the charter to pursue, win, and execute projects for the United States government. The separate company was established to facilitate compliance with the unique regulations imposed on companies and projects that conduct business for the federal government.
From this beginning, BNI has grown to be a multibillion-dollar company that regularly contributes more than 25 percent of Bechtel’s annual revenues. Its successes include many first-of-a-kind signature projects in federally owned site management, environmental restoration, defense, space, energy, and national and homeland security.
