Description
Join an Operations Team, specializing in working with a massively parallel enterprise platform. This platform is built using Java on Free and Open-Source Software products, including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to facilitate the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated Java developer with a strong attention to detail, capable of proactively completing tasks both independently and as part of a team. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of technologies, depending on customer requirements, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to expand their skill set.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance the massively parallel enterprise platform.
Utilize Java programming skills to design and implement solutions for data-intensive analytics.
Work with Free and Open-Source Software products, including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to enable the execution of complex data processing tasks.
Independently and proactively complete tasks with a strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Adapt to changing customer requirements and technology landscapes, remaining flexible and open to learning new technologies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Provide support and assistance to team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in Java programming and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Postgres).
Experience with the MapReduce programming model and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.).
Familiarity with Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

Desired:
Previous experience working with massively parallel enterprise platforms or distributed systems.
Knowledge of cloud computing principles and technologies.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
