Description
Primary objective is to actively oversee and manage enterprise computer systems and networks. You will analyze technical issues, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions to ensure the smooth operation of designated computer network infrastructure. Additionally, you will translate user requests into technical diagnoses and develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact. Evaluating new technologies or equipment that can enhance Agency standard solutions is also a key aspect of your role.

Responsibilities:
Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
Translate user requests into technical diagnoses and develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
Develop migration strategies for transitioning existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal disruption.
Evaluate new technologies or equipment to enhance Agency standard solutions.
Provide support for hardware installation, including servers and network infrastructure setup.
Set up storage solutions such as network-attached storage (NAS) to meet data storage needs.
Implement security best practices, including PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance.
Utilize Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C for automation and system management tasks.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience may be considered.
Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant experience in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering, with specific experience in network or system administration.
Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
Experience with hardware installation and setup, including servers and network infrastructure.
Experience setting up network-attached storage (NAS) for data storage solutions.
Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages such as Bash, Bourne, or C.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

Desired:
Experience deploying and maintaining nginx web server software.
Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite for containerization and system management.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT, and Ansible, as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
Experience with SELinux and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliance.
