Responsibilities:
Edits documents in response to full lifecycle proposal requirements using Arcfield’s Proposal Style Guide, wall of truth, and other proposal-specific guidance. Edits content by reviewing for completeness, accuracy, clarity, brevity, correct language use, compliance, consistency, flow, tone, organization, and alignment with specified style guide(s). May function as the sole editor, lead editor, or part of an editing team for proposals, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders. Provides constructive feedback to writers as needed. Attends daily proposal meetings, keeping the proposal team and content team up-to-date regarding level of effort and schedules. Flexibly adjusts level of editing based on schedule and time allotted. Reads and understands solicitation files to edit for compliance requirements such as page allocation, acronym definitions, and title page requirements. May peer review material. Verifies facts, dates, and statistics using standard reference sources. Maintains awareness of contents of repositories of previous proposal material (e.g., templates, exemplars); supports the loading and labeling of new proposal material after submittal and award. Assists with documenting, maintaining, and using internal proposal processes. Contributes to and benefits from maintaining a collaborative environment—expanding skills and mentoring others.
Qualifications:
Required
BS with 8-10 years of professional experience, MS with 6-8 years of professional experience, PhD with 3-5 years of professional experience Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance Strong Microsoft Word skills including applying style templates to generate compliant proposal documents
Desired:
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, including using multi-authoring for document collaboration and Track Changes Experience providing proposal editing, particularly related to IT and cybersecurity, for Federal Government proposals. Understanding of Government RFPs and the source selection process. Adaptability to changing requirements and dynamic schedules.
