The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is looking for a Junior Cyber Security Specialist. This innovative team provides technical and project leadership in support of Identity & Access Management services for the Boeing Enterprise. Join our team and grow your knowledge in IAM for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP) while providing a Single Sign-On (SSO) experience across user communities (consumer, employee, suppliers, and customers) using Agile methodologies. Our IAM services are based on Third-party partnerships, Commercial off-the shelf, Open Source products, and in-house developed software.

Responsibilities will include defining, designing, and configuring IAM services to support organizational compliance activities, business strategic goals/deliverables, and to strengthen Boeing overall data security controls. The position requires the building of relationships across various Boeing organizations, partnering with project teams to ensure IAM deliverables meet business requirements.  Other responsibilities may also include leading discussions with organizations seeking assistance in implementing IAM services, assisting project teams through quality assurance and Information Security compliance deliverables, troubleshooting complex system issues, and creating designs and recommendations that lower or eliminate security risk.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A desire to learn about Identity, Authentication, and Authorization concepts
  • Experience using work flow/configuration management tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS), VersionOne, Azure DevOps, and/or Jira
  • A working knowledge of Change Management and Agile Methodologies
  • Experience testing systems to ensure that components function according to test plans and are ready for deployment
  • An ability to identify security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Experience in documenting analysis, recommendations, and procedures
  • Ability to collaborate well in a team environment
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as an integral team member
  • The desire to learn how to create integrated designs for systems and/or components while assessing new technologies to align with security/data protection strategies
  • A continuous improvement attitude with a drive to outperform status quo

Nice to have skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues utilizing log files (Splunk, AppDynamics, and SAML Tracer)
  • Experience in dispositioning tickets in GSEP or ServiceNow
  • Knowledge in Federated Identity/Authentication concepts and protocols (e.g. SAML, OAuth/OIDC, etc.)

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in a cyber security role
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
