Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Procurement Agent to join the Executive Transport team in either San Antonio, TX, Huntsville, AL, Mesa, AZ, El Segundo, CA, Long Beach, CA, Seal Beach, CA, Huntington Beach, CA, Hazelwood, MO, Berkeley, MO, St. Charles, MO, Oklahoma City, OK, Ridley Park, PA or Seattle, WA.

At Boeing, our Mid-Level Procurement Agent will use their expertise to support supply chain activities at the Boeing Company. In joining this program, you will be part of an outstanding team of supply chain experts making history as we shape this one of a kind next generation Aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed locations.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • More than 3 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Contracts & Pricing and/or Supplier Management Procurement.
  • More than 3 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions.
  • More than 3 years of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.
  • More than 3 year of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
  • More than 3 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • More than 3 years of experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $95,200 - $131,040
