The Boeing Company is seeking a First-Line Manufacturing Leader (Level K) to support the 767 and 747 Program in Everett, WA on Various Shifts.

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate the One BPS culture, tools, and key performance indicators. Likewise, within Manufacturing we embrace a first pass quality approach to our work and this requires our leaders to be committed to our team member’s success. FOD free product and clean as you go is also a component of our production system and this also requires a steadfast commitment to our standards, our people and our customer.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Willing to work rotating shifts as needed (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
  • Willing to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Basic understanding of Union contracts.
  • Familiar with Boeing Production System (BPS) and/or Toyota Production System (TPS) concepts. Experience with managing Safety, Cost, Quality, and Manufacturing KPI data.
  • Commitment to Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free (IIF) principles.
  • Experience in Aircraft Systems or Final Assembly desired, specifically in electrical.
  • Degree or Certificate in Business, Management, Engineering, IE, PE, Aeronautical Sciences, Technology Field, Project Management or other relevant disciplines or equivalent work experience.
