The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), MQ-25 program is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer/Architect (Level 4) in Hazelwood, MO to lead/coordinate development of the LRIP electrical configuration, and support EMD development efforts.  Must be able to lead, coordinate, design, and analyze the electrical systems architecture (includes power generation, distribution, and usage equipment; wiring topology; and all associated components and specifications).  Must be able to lead/coordinate technical efforts within the electrical systems team, and interdisciplinary efforts across the MQ-25 program.  Must be able to perform technical oversight/coordination with suppliers including requirements development, design development, and qualification efforts.- ****$5000 This position offers a signing bonus for qualified candidates." 

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Typically 10-15+ years on electrical power systems design, development, and qualification

  • Experience on aircraft development/modification programs

  • Experience in technical oversight of electrical systems suppliers

  • Team/Technical leadership experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
