Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for an Experienced Equipment Specialist (Level C) based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance on factory equipment

• Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment

• Responds to requests for equipment repair

• Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories

• Works under limited supervision

• Prioritizes and schedules daily work assignments based on production and customer needs and management priority to maintain production equipment utilization

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must be willing to work any shift assigned

• 3+ years’ experience reading schematics/drawings used to troubleshoot production machinery, including servo motors, servo drives, VFDs, encoders, linear scales, etc

• 3+ years’ experience reading mechanical drawings, and use to troubleshoot machine tools, including ball screws, lead screws, linear guides, box ways, gibs, linear and rotational axis accuracy, etc

• 3+ years’ experience reading detailed equipment operating manuals and follow sequential repair instructions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years’ experience with mechanical, electronics/electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• 3+ years’ experience with mechanical NC Controls (e.g. Fanuc, Siemens), PLCs (e.g. Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc)

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
