The Global Environmental Sustainability (GES) Strategy team is seeking a Sustainability Strategy Analyst to organize the development and execution of business strategies for environmental sustainability initiatives. This position will act as the integration leader for the enterprise wide Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) business development and collaborations initiatives, leading the coordination and integration of activities across business units and functions, working with senior decision-makers to maintain strategy and program management baselines, maintain and communicate program status and metrics across leadership groups. This position allows telecommuting and does not require applicants to live in Renton, WA full-time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads integration & synthesis of research, benchmarking & forecasting.
  • Develops integrated view of the future business environment and opportunities.
  • Oversees enterprise, functional and business unit integration of strategic decision analysis. Leads business case development through partnering with other functions.
  • Ensures strategies and investments are reflected in Long Range Business Plan.
  • Oversees integration of market development for industry collaboration, acquisitions or partnerships.
  • Collaborates across functions and business units to develop and deploy strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversees high-level meetings regarding complex strategy subjects, building alignment and driving decision-making.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic?Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 

  • 3+ years of sustainability work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Organization, project management, presentation skills, teaming mentality, a mind that quickly assesses and prioritizes.
  • Ability to navigate complex organization dynamics
  • 3+ years of experience with synthesizing and aggregating data and communicating effectively.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Masters or other relevant advanced degree or certification, including without limitation ESG/Sustainability  
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Experience in government, government relations, and/or business development preferably in (but not limited to): Sustainability start-up, global regulator, an Embassy, or Government Affairs office.
  • Experience working in the field of climate policy and/or government and/or multi-stakeholders’ organizations
  • understanding of Boeing sustainability goals and activities

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
