Find your future with us. Boeing is seeking a motivated and talented Systems Engineer (Level 2) to join our team in Oklahoma City.

This individual will be a part of our Aircraft Modernization and Modifications (AMM) Systems Engineering Capability team across multiple Programs. We are part of the Strike, Surveillance and Mobility division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), and our focus in Oklahoma City is on the modernization and modification of aircraft to extend platform life and maintain mission readiness and aircraft relevance. Our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable aircraft engineering solutions and support to our military, commercial, and heads of state aircraft customers throughout the United States and around the world. The Systems Engineering Capability team includes System Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT), Specialty Engineering (Human Factors, Reliability/Maintainability, etc.), System Safety, Cyber-Security, Anti-Tamper.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluate customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
  • Develop the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues



Security Clearance:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of Aerospace Engineering Experience
  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering
  • Experience of system architecture modeling and tools
  • Experience of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Experience of certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience of database management tools (e.g. Records Management Database, Access, Excel)
  • Experience of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems



Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
