The Boeing Company is currently seeking a M-level Product Support Manager to join a dynamic and high-achieving team developing next generation product support solutions.  The management position will support the US Government Services business to shape and coordinate the latest Integrated Logistics Solutions leveraging model-based system tools and technologies that significantly enhance the availability and effectiveness of Boeing products in support of our customers.   The manager will collaborate across company business units and cross-functionally on product support solutions including design for supportability, model-based support requirements, supportability analysis, operational analytics and service engineering, maintenance, repair, and overhaul enhancements, supply support, technical data, and training.  The selected candidate will have to engage engineers, operations, and supply chain experts to ensure viable and model-based support concepts align with customer operations and missions.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing comprehensive product support strategy options for Defense Business leaders based on lessons learned, technology enablers, policy/guidance, PBL implementations, and the enhanced use of public and private partnerships and product support agreements at the system, subsystem, and component levels.
  • Responsible to guide and shape product support performance-based outcomes and strategies that achieve documented Warfighter requirements, including key performance measures and incentive strategies that enable superior business results, supporting both fielded and new development programs.
  • Researches, analyzes and defines options for how best to deliver the optimum level of support for Boeing products, including; Supply Chain Management (SCM) Structure,  workload allocation strategy (including Depot maintenance, Core, and 50/50 considerations), depot level capabilities to accelerate work, refinement of program Data Management Strategies, strategies for continuous modernization and improvement of system RAM, utilization of predictive analysis tools to proactively address parts degradation/failure and/or obsolescence (DMSMS), implementation of advanced corrosion identification and remediation tools, as well as training and training support strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, repair, and overhaul, supply support/supply chain, as well as training/training support best practices are highly desirable.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business or technical field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Integrated Product Support

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the acquisition and supply chain/ logistics execution environment within the US Department of Defense (DOD) and/or the Defense Industry
  • Advanced Degree in Logistics Engineering
  • Knowledge of the Defense Organizational and Depot Maintenance Concepts and practices
  • Knowledge of the Product Support digital thread from design through operations and support
  • Understanding of model-based product support solutions
  • Keen ability to foster and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders – customers, suppliers, government, and industry leaders, and across Boeing enterprise
  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex technical issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
  • Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility

Hybrid/Telecommute:

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (St. Louis, MO.).
