Find your future with us.  Boeing Global Services has an opening for a first-level Production Engineering Manager to join the team located in San Antonio, TX.  This position will lead a multi-discipline team supporting the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities of the site.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of production engineering
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Develop estimates, resource forecasts, program performance metrics
  • Manage budget, schedule, risks & opportunities associated with design/build test program statement of work
  • Allocate resources to provide support across all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • General ability to properly document processes, support people, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Production Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering project or team
  • 3+ years of experience working with cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering
  • Experience with Government Field Aircraft Support, Aircraft MRO operations, and/or Component Repair & Manufacturing
  • Experience leading a Production Engineering Team

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (San Antonio, TX.)
