The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Autonomous Systems (AS) MQ-25 Program in St. Louis, MO is looking for an experienced Mission Systems Avionics Manager (Level L) to join the team leading the development, integration and test of Communication, Navigation, Identification (CNI), equipment suites for the Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) programs.   This dynamic, high visibility position leads an empowered team in a collaborative environment with other IPTs and US Navy customer.   This position reports to the Senior Manager of Mission Systems and Director of Mission Systems and Software.

The MQ-25 Program is the future of autonomous aircraft carrier aviation for the US Navy!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establishment of Team Vision, Development of Team Charter

  • Ownership of Team Budget & Detailed Task Planning with Finance and Scheduling Team

  • Maintenance of Earned Value Management and EAC via Cost Account Management Functions

  • Manage Staffing Requirements against available Budget

  • Team Responsibility, Accountability & Authority (RAA) for the acquisition, test, delivery of Mission Systems hardware to the MQ-25 aircraft manufacture including but not limited to:

  • Functional & Performance requirements decomposition / documentation

  • Interface requirement documentation

  • Development of Supply Chain Procurement Packages (Procurement Speciation’s, Statements of Work, Supplier Data Requirements List etc.)

  • Technical Management of SC-based acquisition life cycle  (SRR, IDR, CDR, MRR, ATP TRR, SVT)

  • Component Requirement Verification / Airworthiness / Qualification

  • Hardware Acceptance / Readiness Testing

  • Support of Integration Test Planning / Execution

  • Support of Ramp / Ground / Flight Test Planning Execution

  • Support of Verification Activities / Analysis of MQ-25 Systems Level Mission Systems requirements

  • Battle Rhythm team management for task execution

  • Providing programmatic and technical status to senior and executive leadership

  • Support troubleshooting / RCCA of delivered product operational / service anomalies and incidents

  • Participate in new business development efforts  (Trades, Proposals, Basis of Estimates)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  •  8+ years of experience in Engineering Avionics.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Communication, Navigation and Identification Avionics.
