The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced System Security Analyst to support the P-8A AAS program out of Richardson, TX.

The candidate will join a growing System Security Engineering (SSE) Team, supporting product security efforts across multiple systems and labs for both training and development contracts. The SSE function serves to bridge the gap between high level security policies/requirements and technical/operational implementation of those requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyzes and compiles technical data to support the integration of security and resiliency into products and services throughout the lifecycle of the product/service to meet all applicable certifications and customer requirements.
  • Researches, collects, interprets, tests, and analyzes technical data for system-level product security concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
  • Performs product security risk/attack surface/vulnerability analyses and security audits of applications and application stacks of various provenances.
  • Analyzes, triages, aggregates, escalates, and reports relevant product security and anti-tamper data and other information sources for attack indicators and potential security breaches.
  • Coordinates during incidents.
  • Correlates and performs trend analysis.
  • Analyzes malware and attacker tactics to improve detection capabilities.
  • Prepares and presents technical reports and briefings.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP); with the ability to obtain IAT Level III within 6 Months
  • Experience with using or applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines to implement or maintain compliance?

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experienced with common DoD vulnerability and compliance assessment tools (e.g. SCAP, STIGs, ACAS) and processes.
  • Experienced capturing/documenting system security designs throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process (e.g. System Diagrams, System Security Plans, Hardware Baselines, Software Baselines, Network Diagrams, Security Controls Traceability Matrices, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.)
  • Experienced in security control test plan development and execution.
  • Experienced with installation and configuration of McAfee ePO and DoD required endpoint products.
  • Experienced working in a customer facing role executing Information System Security Vulnerability Assessments, to include conducting customer out briefs and generating reports.
  • Experienced with installation and configuration of Splunk Enterprise; to include creation of Apps and Dashboards to audit analysis specifications.
  • Experienced in working with multiple technologies; strong working knowledge of RHEL 7 and above, and/or CISCO IOS/NXOS, and/or Windows server 2016 SHB and above, and/or DoD Windows 10 SHB.
  • Experienced with evaluating and refining customer security requirements.
  • Experienced creating system security implementation solutions against customer requirements.
  • Experienced in Group Policy Management and implementation.
  • Experienced in multiple scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
  • DoD 8570.01-M IASAE I Certification (e.g. CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP)

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
