Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Specialist to join our AH-6 / MELB Program in Mesa, AZ.

Primary responsibility to support the Mission Enhanced Little Bird (MELB) program. Includes leading Primary Airframe Structure (PAS) fuselage program and supporting all Block 3 development efforts. Additional responsibilities are to support AH-6 program activities to include supply chain, modifications, proposals and other campaign activities.
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)

  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers

  • May lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion

  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives

  • Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teams

  • 2+ years experience as a Project Management Specialist executing several Projects at one time

  • 2+ years experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

  • 2+ years experience using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience building positive relationships, collaborating effectively, and communicating clearly

  • Excellent people and communication skills and Leadership skills that can motivate employees

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
