Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for an Electronic Systems Design & Analysis Engineer 3 to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization. 

A successful candidate will support KC?767 International Tanker Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) activities focusing primarily on obsolescence resolution and introduction of new capabilities primarily related to aerial refueling systems (e.g. controls & displays, lights, and vision systems).  This includes requirements definition, qualification, authoring test plans, test procedure development, supporting/conducting testing, authoring test reports, and developing Statements of Compliance to requirements.  The candidate will also provide post­?implementation support as the systems are fielded by our international customers.


Position Responsibilities:

  • KC-767 International Tanker Aerial Refueling Integration Electronic Systems Design & Analysis engineer primarily focusing on Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) obsolescence resolution.
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Develops requirements documentation as well as test plans/procedures/reports
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
  • Must be able to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
  • Develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Provides technical solutions to a variety of difficult problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Export Control Requirement:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Technical (Electrical/Electronic Engr) bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience.
  • Must possess knowledge of engineering discipline(s) (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software engineering) applied to product related systems (e.g., aircraft, avionics systems) throughout the product development life cycle, from concept development to deployment.  
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., navigation, avionics, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatic, etc.) including operations and troubleshooting
  • Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with business applications. 
  • Experience dealing with ITAR requirements. 
  • Systems Integration Lab (SIL) experience.  
  • Experience with aerial refueling systems/platforms. 
  • Experience with civil and/or military certification / qualification.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Hybrid:

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Oklahoma City)
