The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), MQ-25 Program is seeking an Experienced Electronic Warfare Engineer (EW) hardware / integration engineer to join the Mission Systems IPT, (Level 4) in St. Louis Missouri. This position will have Responsibility, Accountability and Authority (RAA) for the acquisition, integration and test of multiple EW sensors onboard the MQ-25. The candidate will work with supply chain team members to complete the acquisition of components, review and approve airworthiness artifacts and coordinate the movement of hardware from supplier to crib to Air Vehicle manufacturing and customer laboratories. The candidate will work with SEIT and Mission Systems Software teams to develop requirements necessary to integrate the capabilities into the Air Vehicle.  The candidate will develop and execute Lab-based integration procedures, on vehicle system checkout procedures and support ground and flight testing at Mid America Airport along with SEIT and  Flight Test IPT.  The candidate will support analysis of flight test data obtained from PAX River – based flight test program.  The candidate will also conduct advanced design EW-Based trade studies to identify roadmaps for future variants of the MQ-25. 

The MQ-25 Program is the future of unmanned aircraft carrier aviation for the US NAVY!  

The MQ-25 Program is in search on an experienced Electronics Warfare (EW) hardware / integration engineer to join the Mission Systems IPT in St. Louis Missouri.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and validates requirements for various complex communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.

  • Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.

  • Develops architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.

  • Performs complicated trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.

  • Defines and conducts critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.

  • Manages appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.

  • Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.

  • Supports project management by providing coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.

  • Generates major sections of proposals to support development of new business. Works under minimal direction.

This position requires an active U.S. Interim Secret or higher Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Experience in Navigation Avionics Integration

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
