Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a Senior Manager International Business Development - Autonomous Systems (level M) located in Arlington, VA, Berkeley, MO, or Ridley Park, PA.

Reports to Vice President, Business Development, Autonomous Systems with a market portfolio including all aspects of autonomous systems, including autonomy, command & control, platforms, ground stations, communications and payloads / sensors in the International arena. 

The goal of this position is to develop and capture contracts that advance and/or leverage these technologies applicable to autonomous systems. The autonomy market is dynamic and growing, requiring knowledge and experience to generate opportunities for capture as well as competing for well-defined technology development programs of record. Individual selected for the position will be responsible capturing business to provide the foundation for long-term franchise programs for BDS.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and/or first-level managers performing activities across autonomous systems market areas.

  • Develops and executes integrated business capture plans, consistent with appropriate policies and procedures, aligned with Autonomous Systems and Boeing International strategies, goals, and objectives.

  • Acquires and manages resources for capture activities, provides leadership for applicable functional support.

  • Provides leadership and support for International orders for Autonomous Systems.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams

  • Experience supporting defense acquisition and proposal development

  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives

  • Experience effectively communicating, both verbally and in writing, and collaborating on multi-discipline teams

  • Experience working with the foreign military sales (FMS) and direct commercial sales (DCS) process

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years’ experience of leading, or participating in, program captures

  • 10+ years’ experience working with external customers in decision-making positions

  • 5+ years of experience supporting or managing competitive domestic or international sales campaigns

  • Bachelor's technical degree or higher

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
