Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking experienced Data Architects to support the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) of Boeing's proprietary program based in St. Louis, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

Defines and validates complex requirements for new and revised hardware and software systems.
Leads the design, development and test of applications and systems.
Leads development of trade studies and other forms of analysis to formulate optimum solutions for users.
Guides and coordinates development and deployment of new or revised processes in support of new computing systems, including documentation and training.
Facilitates development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes.
Leads and coordinates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements.
Mentors less experienced employees.
Works under minimal direction.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications:

Active US Secret Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree(A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study).
Prior Experience experience in software development and test tools/IDEs (e.g. off the shelf or source code editors, compilers, configuration management tools, requirements management, and source control tools)

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in using UML to describe architecture models, with tools like CAMEO or other modeling software
Proven technical leadership skills, able to motivate and focus on learner, empathetic and open for feedback, self-confident, communicates proactively

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
