The Boeing Company is currently seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer to expand their career in embedded real-time software.  In this position, you will develop, integrate, test, and deliver software solutions for the Cruise Missile Operational Flight Software team located in St. Charles, MO.  This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The operational flight software, resident test software, and integrated toolset is being updated to align with the expanding capabilities and functionality of the Harpoon and SLAM ER missiles.  The project has a broad and growing customer base of both international and domestic customers.  Engineers in this segment work in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test software solutions across multiple weapon configurations

• Collaborate with a team of software engineers through the entire lifecycle of software

• Coordinate with a multi-discipline engineering team on the delivery of a system

• Gain knowledge with software architectures, platform/weapon interfaces, and communication protocols

• Expand hands-on experience with integrating software onto hardware

This position allows telecommuting. (Hybrid) The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (St. Charles, MO)

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.   An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Required Qualifications: (Required Skills/ Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in a technical field of study such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics

• At least 1-2 years of professional software engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)

• 1+ years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada

• 1+ years of experience with software development on Windows or Linux

• 1+ years of experience with Visual Studio, Jira, and git

• 1+ years of experience with real-time embedded software development

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:

Domestic and international travel to support customers may be required.
