Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineering and Program Manager to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle

  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

  • Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports

  • Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers within an inclusive and collaborative environment

  • Ability to understand the big picture and inter-relationships of functions

  • Ability to effectively communicate current state performance to plans for executive consumption

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience with Communication, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with executive-level management

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and/or maintaining a quality management system

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in quality, manufacturing or engineering management

  • Experience leading and executing Advance Product Quality Planning Activities (APQP)

  • Experience conducting site regulatory compliance audits

  • Quality Management experience

  • Experience in business development or strategy

  • Experience in building relationships with internal and/or external customers
