The Boeing Bombers & Fighters Production Operations team has an exciting opportunity for a Shipside Operations Specialist to join our Production Operations team in Berkeley, MO in the The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization. This position will work in our fast-paced and dynamic production environment to align the Operations Team with Program Leadership, customer counterparts and cross-functional partners to remove roadblocks and stabilize operations. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use technical knowledge, understanding of process flow, and networking skills to ensure issues are addressed and resolved by responsible support organization
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria. Analyzes and interprets data
  • Provides feedback on assessment results
  • Assist organizations in identifying reoccurring and high impact issues
  • Supports root cause analysis and corrective action plan to address reoccurring and high impact issues
  • Facilitate ongoing coordination and tracking of open items
  • Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced teammates
  • Shipside Operations Specialist works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School diploma
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Operations environment
  • 3+ years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and managing projects
  • Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience using Shipside Action Tracker

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.

Typical Education / Experience:

Related work experience, relevant military experience, or advance degree preferred, but not required.

Referral to this job is eligible for bonus.

Bonus amount: US dollars (USD) $1,500

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
