The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate F-22 Systems Engineer to join our Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) team in Berkeley, MO. This position will be a part of the F-22 team within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Air Force Services (AFS).

The F-22 Raptor program is well positioned to provide long-term growth opportunities and is committed to an employee focused culture and presence at the St. Louis site supporting the premier 5th generation Air Force fighter. This position will place you at heart of a fast-paced, growing program where you will have the opportunity to shape the program.

A successful candidate will be an assertive, resourceful leader who is self-motivated and displays intellectual curiosity while expecting results with urgency. This individual must work well under minimal supervision and general guidance, and be able to integrate effectively with key stakeholders to meet program objectives. They must have a proven track record of effective team building and customer relations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop new capability R&M predictions, analyzing to-date performance, and assisting in identification of actionable improvement activities.
  • Ensuring the health of our F-22 fleet by analyzing available trending, base, and usage data while providing insight/recommendations to program leadership.
  • Assists team lead in coordinating with internal and external senior leadership and aligning business strategy with customer demands, customer initiatives and evolving requirements.
  • Support Supplier Data Requirements List (SDRL) activities.
  • Support process definition and command media activities.
  • Works with general supervision.

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of Systems Engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis, and presenting data
  • Experience working with scheduling tools or databases
  • Experience working with members of various technical disciplines, management, and teams for a common goal

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Reliability & Maintainability engineering experience
  • Experience producing relevant calculations and reports (e.g. root cause analysis, availability, MTBF, failure modes and effects, redundancy modeling)
  • Field/Site Engineering and Maintenance Collaboration
  • Maintenance Instruction Development & Support
  • Tactical Aircraft Mechanical Systems Design & Architectures
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience producing health of fleet calculations and reports (e.g. diagnostic, prognostic, condition based calculations & system health architecture concepts/designs)

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
