Boeing Defense, Space, and Security is looking for a truck driver that possesses a Valid Class B Drivers Licenses in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure contents are properly secured to prevent breakage or damage
• Obtained signatures or scan to complete deliveries
• Communicate with Dispatcher as needed
• Have understanding and ability to follow Federal, State and OSHA Regulations
• Have understanding and ability to follow DOT Hours of Service
• Have understanding and ability to secure loads in a safe manner under Federal and State loading regulations
• Perform pre and post inspection of your vehicle(s) prior to between and following each trip. (DVIR)
• The truck driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and maintenance of his/her assigned truck.
• Must exhibit skill and safety in the operation of various transportation vehicles, must fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle– to include, but not limited to: bobtails, flatbeds, cargo vans, forklifts.
• Evaluate mechanical condition of vehicle and report any problems or potential problems to dispatcher immediately
• Operate truck in a safe, professional manner
• Follow designated routes assigned by dispatcher
• Be aware of road and weather conditions and avoid heavily congested areas when possible
• Follow all applicable traffic laws
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according on permitted and restricted truck routes posted by city agencies
• Follow dispatcher’s instructions on how and where to unload in the field
• Follow accident and/or spill procedures if an accident and/or spill occurs
• Keep truck and associated equipment clean, including the inside, and in good working order.
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
• Identify changing conditions and adjust accordingly
• Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to safety-
• Make safety a priority at all times
• Adhere to company policies and procedures are followed
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A Final U.S. secret clearance Prestart is required OR An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Valid Class B Drivers License
• 5 years commercial driving
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Clean Driving Record

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Hazmat and passenger Endorsement (Possess or the ability to obtain one)

• Experienced with a flatbed bobtail and have the ability to secure loads on flatbed

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
