Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Maritime Undersea (MU) Senior Program Manager, in Huntington Beach, CA.

MU is a growing business focused on delivering complex solutions from seabed to space!  Under the sea, we are redefining the art of the possible, using the power of autonomy. Join our Boeing team to help be part of this exciting emerging market. As a MU Senior Program Manager, you will lead a bi-costal team developing and delivering superior and novel solutions for today’s complex undersea market challenges.  Our products range from unique Integrated Mission solutions to highly capable Autonomous Extra-Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVs). 

This Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the XLUUV Missions campaign with current programs and future pursuits within MU’s Integrated Missions portfolio.  This exciting role is an opportunity to work on the cutting edge of maritime autonomy technology, where the advanced capability of the XLUUV platform meets our customers’ mission needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers

  • Provides oversight and approval of program approaches, products and processes

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives

  • Acquires resources for portfolio activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads overall program execution

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager leading a program

  • 5+ years of experience leading customer facing teams in a formal role (Manager or Team Lead)

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management Best Practices (i.e., Requirements Management, Resource Management, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Financial Oversight (EVM), Program Performance Management, Supplier Integration, RIO (Risk, Issue, Opportunity) Management, Program Communication, Senior Leadership Reviews, etc.)

  • Effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Autonomous Systems

  • 5+ years of experience with leading or participating in pursuit of new business opportunities

  • 5+ years of experience of Agile Development

  • 5+ years of experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., Estimating system manual, FAR, DFAR, TINA, ITAR, Procurement integrity, Export Compliance) relating to the development of cost proposals

  • 5+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with current CI Polygraph

Relocation:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
