The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking early career Loads & Dynamics Engineer (Level 2) to join the OKC Flight Systems Capability team with the opportunity to provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military Aircraft (B-1B, B-2, B-52), Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C (737), AWACS (707, 767), ETS&S(C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, VC-25B), and  Tankers (KC-135, KC-767)) in the Noise and Vibration discipline. This role will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop and analyze the structural vibration environment, characteristics and performance of aircraft and aircraft components.

  •  Support hardware vibration, shock, and acceleration test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  •  Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Work under general supervision.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • >2+ years experience in aircraft or spacecraft structural analysis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience in any of the following technical competencies: Aircraft  or spacecraft vibration environment measurements, high frequency vibration data reduction, Noise and Vibration analysis, or Aircraft acoustic analysis

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and  typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
