Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Business Operations Specialist (Level 4) to join our Business Operations team in Seattle, WA. In this role, the focus will be on supporting the BGS Engineering Core leadership team to drive performance, supporting strategy development, and execution along with supporting and facilitating various Leadership meetings to ensure meetings are held efficiently and actions are tracked and worked, and business results are achieved. The selected candidate will also lead / design MIS and operating rhythm execution.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Effectively connect with and support executive level management on a regular basis

  • Responsible for the integration/alignment/prioritization of strategic business planning and provide business intelligence, to enable the BGS engineering Value Stream to run the business predictably, effectively and efficiently

  • Execute an integrated management system aligned to BGS priorities, make appropriate adjustments

  • Provides oversight and approval of business approaches, products and processes

  • Lead the application and execution of Program Management Best Practices

  • Replicate, standardize, integrate and communicate Best Practices Lead the application and execution of Program Management Best Practices

  • Ensure standard and consistent Operating Rhythm to address recurring and emergent priorities integrated with the appropriate stakeholders

  • Develop, integrate, and coordinate commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill business goals, objectives and strategies

  • Identify, document, and ensure plans are in place to mitigate Risks, Issues, and gather Opportunities

  • Identify and communicate cost, quality, schedule, and safety imperatives

  • Provide information on commitments and compliance to plan. Ensures development and execution of follow-up actions for issue resolution

  • Develop and strengthen the team, identify talent pipelines and required training

  • Ensures follow-up action for issue resolution

  • Supports developing, deploying and carrying out organizational PMBP processes

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Seattle, WA.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Experience in a role requiring project management skills

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders

  • Experience interacting with business partners and customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)

  • Experience in leading business-driven decisions to include budgets, staffing levels, and Statement of Work (SOW)

  • 3+ years’ experience leading initiatives, or projects that demonstrated improvement to cost and quality and the ability to inspire change

  • Experience with development and integration of plans, strategies, processes, and/or KPIs across programs to track process to and enable attainment of goals

  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates as well as understand the policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization

  • (Digital Literacy) Experience with process improvements and/or technology implementations

  • (Builds Positive Relationships) Experience developing and managing relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners

  • (System Thinking) Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system

  • (Project Management) Ability to achieve desired outcomes on projects, timely and within budget

  • (Project Management) Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate St. Louis area or relocate at their own expense.
