Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) for the Manufacturing Services team in Auburn, Washington.

This energetic, engaging and influential leader will have the opportunity to lead a cross-functional group within Equipment Services as a part of the Manufacturing Services Organization. The responsibility includes oversight of union-represented and salaried, non-represented teammates across three shifts.

The position requires close integration with stakeholders including but not limited to Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality within multiple buildings across the Auburn Fabrication site. Innovative thinking and ability to lead through influence will be critical in this position.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Develops and empowers high performing teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Communicates in a timely manner to superiors, subordinates and peers regarding organizational performance including risks, concerns, accomplishments, or other elements critical to the business.
  • Prioritizes deliverables across multiple business units and executive leaders.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills.
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within Equipment Services as a part of the Manufacturing Services organization.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement techniques.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing (high performing) teams.
  • Willing to travel domestically as needed (less than 10%).


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience leading a Union-represented workforce.
  • 3+ years of experience using One Boeing Production Systems (BPS) or Lean Manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment services or maintenance.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
