Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Entry Level Industrial Engineer to support our team in Ridley Park, PA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Applies basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements
  • Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, sequencing of operations and work flows
  • Assists with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, facilities, equipment, and personnel
  • Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders
  • Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices
  • Provides production, performance visibility and recovery planning support
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

•  Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree in Industrial Engineering

•  Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing methodologies

•  Proficiency with MS Office tool set: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

•  Experience in a manufacturing / production environment

•  Root Cause Analysis experience

•  Ability to collaborate in a team environment

•  Experience with Microsoft Access or SQL databases

•  Strong analytical/technical, problem solving and communication skills

    Typical Education & Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Industrial Engineering, (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
