Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Lead Solution Architect in Englewood, Co., Centenial, CO., Colorado Springs, CO., Everett, WA., or Seattle, WA.   

In this role you will work with critical data production systems that intake, maintain and extract our data to our customers. As an architect working in this practice you will play a critical role in designing, building, supporting and delivering multiple legacy and innovative technology solutions that support our data production systems to bring additional value and capabilities across our suite of aviation applications and rich data sets. The right candidate will utilize their extensive technical knowledge to define the data and architecture for our portfolios of products. You will be able to articulate a vision and define the correct tooling, technologies, and approach to guide a multi-disciplined engineering team towards execution.

The selected individual will work closely with development teams in order to understand capability specifications and provide leadership and guidance to drive the development of sophisticated data science and machine learning models. Additionally, the candidate will be able to articulate the enhanced value to all levels of leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define the technical vision and strategy for the data production system suites for Digital Solutions
  • Provide hands-on technical thought leadership to solve large & complex business problems through AI/ML capabilities
  • Defines requirements and designs and verifies robust architecture, data and information management systems and components
  • Establishes design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements
  • Drive the end-to-end process to turn ideas and requirements into product features to satisfy customer needs
  • Evaluate different technical approaches to solve problems and articulate recommendations on the right methodologies that data scientists and engineers can follow
  • Lead the development of proofs of concept to verify your hypotheses
  • Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle
  • Contributes to architecture and data/information management standards and strategies

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with analysis and summarizing data findings and develop conclusions and recommendations
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing Assembly DFMA
  • Experience with system thinking

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience architecting/developing data & analytics/data science capabilities

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience, 13 years related work experience.

Relocation:

Summary pay range: 91,000 – 168,000
