Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a Proprietary Program on the Systems Integration & Test team in Berkeley, MO. This engineer will serve as the Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) for a team of systems engineers. This position is focused on leading verification planning activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of system level verification requirements and their incorporation into the system model

  • Leads the development of the program’s verification and validation plans

  • Coordinates cross-discipline design decisions, requirements and interface definition to ensure the technical integrity of the end product

  • Works in conjunction with the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to define subsystem level verification methods, approaches and success criteria

  • Works closely with Airworthiness subject matter experts to ensure alignment between program IPTs, customers and suppliers

  • Interfaces with supply base to ensure alignment on verification and test approaches

  • Mentor and coach early career engineers to develop and expand their skillset

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience using systems engineering practices to plan and/or execute requirements verification

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Have or have held an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance in the past 24 months

  • Experience with aerospace new product development and prototyping

  • Experience with model based systems engineering tools (Cameo, Core, or other SysML modeling tools)

  • Experience with test program execution or leading verification reviews (SVRs, FCAs and PCAs)

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
