The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to serve as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and/or a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) in Mesa, Arizona.

This position requires strong leadership skills with the ability to lead the overall Security Programs within the SAP and SCI environment. The position requires a high-level of discernment for prioritizing and managing the requirements of both internal & external customers, and leads a team in directing program security related tasks to include proposal support, Government inspections, Self-Inspections, Physical Security and Personnel Security management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action

  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Conducts Communications Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (to include inventory, distribution and destruction), in compliance with government regulations/requirements

  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures

  • Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs

  • Provides innovation and creativity into Personnel Security (e.g., reduce cycle time) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements

  • Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

  • Oversees Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements

  • Completes tasks toward long-range goals and objectives

  • Oversees Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience dealing directly with government customers

  • 5+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership

  • Experience with the 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • Experience with the Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07, Volumes 1-4

  • Experience with the Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) and/or Intelligence Community Directives (ICD)

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $91,200 - $131,100
