The Boeing Global Services Apache Spares Engineering team is searching for a  Mid - Level Industrial Engineer to support the Apache Depot Repair and Overhaul (DRO) facility. The individual will work with other cross-functional members in our collective efforts to sustain the global Apache fleet. Support includes but is not limited to the following. Position is located in Mesa, AZ.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the induction, inspection, repair, reassembly and test of field-returned dynamic components, new-build of dynamic components

  • Optimize operational efficiency through business proposals/presentations on continuous process improvements, cost savings, cost reduction initiatives, quality improvements, innovation, analysis reports and plans for business efficiencies.

  • Daily usage of systems such as Tableau, SAP, Haystack, Microsoft office products and other industry tools for engineering duties

  • Work in a fast paced environment directly located within proximity of shop floor and daily interaction with personnel working on products

  • Develop schedules, work-arounds, recovery schedules, man-power, labor standards, facility layouts, capitol planning, shop load, process improvements, work transfers

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

  • 5+ years of experience with business problem identification, data collection and preparation, interpretation and problem solving

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support

  • 5+ years of experience in oversight of budget, development of quarterly EAC, program health metrics, earned value, and management of program critical path

  • 5+ years of experience communicating across organizations with suppliers and leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with the following software and database technologies is preferred: Tableau, The Aurora Client, Job Sequencing and Scheduling Toolkit, Capacity

  • Management, Electronic Bar Chart (EBC), E-Visuals, Priority Board, & Mantis

  • Experience working in both a development and sustaining program environments

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

  • 1+ years with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci)

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
