The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering team is seeking a Senior Sustainability Project Engineer to drive the development and execution of business strategies for environmental sustainability initiatives. This position will act as the integration engineer for BGS Engineering collaborations initiatives, leading the coordination and integration of activities across business units and functions, working with senior decision-makers to maintain strategy and program management baselines, maintain and communicate program status and metrics across leadership groups. This position allows telecommuting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads integration & synthesis of research, benchmarking & forecasting

  • Develops integrated view of the future engineering business environment and opportunities

  • Coordinates integration of sustainability development for university collaboration or partnerships

  • Collaborates across functions and business units to develop and deploy strategies to achieve business objectives

  • Integrate into high-level meetings regarding complex strategy subjects, building alignment and driving decision-making

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Plano, TX.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degree

  • Relevant experience in Sustainability, Energy or Climate Change strategy development and execution

  • Experience with understanding and leading sustainability initiatives for complex industrial companies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accredited course of study in Engineering or Environmental Sciences field

  • 7+ years of experience in Sustainability, Energy or Climate Change strategy development and execution

  • Experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives

  • Self-starter with experience leading and advancing projects in ambiguous environments

  • 5+ years of experience with understanding and leading sustainability initiatives for complex industrial companies

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $115,000 – $157,800
