The Boeing Company is seeking Senior Cloud Product Lead, Level 4 to join their Enterprise DevSecOps – Ecosystem team to execute on the intake, prioritization, and delivery of new products and features for Boeing external customers and internal partners. Join a team of business enablement champions to drive strategic initiatives in the space, and lay out forward-thinking capability roadmaps. Work with Functional Partners to understand and define opportunities, shape them into epics and secure appropriate investments.

Support Boeing's bottom line, by helping to guide the Boeing Enterprise DevSecOps transformation across all business units.  The successful candidate will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of modern cloud environments to support DoD product software development across the Boeing Enterprise. We seek candidates who have proven skills in cloud architecture, DevOps, software development, and infrastructure as code.

This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of software development teams across our company. The DevSecOps team offers a collaborative environment where you have the opportunity to learn from and lead others.

Position responsibilities:

  • Create, Maintain, and Communicate Product Roadmaps
  • Find and Monitor dependencies on features delivered by vendors/product teams to integrate into product roadmaps
  • Lead Prioritization efforts across multiple stakeholders
  • Ensure Product/Program DevSecOps Teams deliver innovative, high-value solutions to users both inside and external to Boeing
  • Develop and Enhance our DevSecOps operations in multiple Cloud Service environments
  • Strategically align business needs with our Team’s capability domains
  • Act as an Product/Program Teams focal and enabler, allowing the Teams to drive up Time-on-Task
  • Share Product/Program Teams progress through outward information flows, enabling the team to remain focused on SoW
  • Partner with our leadership team and Product/Program Teams to identify and remove any Boeing self-imposed bureaucracy that impedes the continuous delivery of capabilities
  • Champion and enable adoption of Industry & Boeing best practices to advance internal capabilities for delivering quality software in an Agile, people-first approach.
  • Empower teams so they can operate with a high degree of autonomy and self-organization, and deliver to business priorities
  • Partner with globally distributed teams to leverage learnings and expertise.
  • Leverage a strong awareness of DevSecOps technology trends and roadmaps, and DevSecOps capabilities in the marketplace that can shape both Boeing and customer capabilities and solutions.
  • Align work to a globally distributed workforce
  • Foster a Product-driven culture
  • Develop and enhance relationships with the varied stakeholder of the space, and strategically align the team to those
  • Contribute to opportunity identification, business alignment, and ultimate value realization of product offerings

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options - Berkeley MO, Mesa AZ, Tukwila WA, Colorado Springs CO, El Segundo CA, Fairfax VA, North Charleston SC.

Technology areas these positions will be focused on are:

  • Infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Continuous integration, testing, and delivery
  • Agile product development
  • Work closely with developers, cloud architects, and system engineers from multiple product teams
  • Design, review, and suggest features for cloud-based products
  • Research and pitch new tools/products to the team

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ experience with product management or product design.
  • 5 or more years’ experience leading, managing or working within an Agile application development team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience with Cloud technologies
  • Experience on Automation and CI/CD techniques and design patterns
  • Experience with Design Thinking
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with portfolio management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a development environment using Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of leading or performing DevSecOps development
  • Experience working on team strategies and roadmaps
  • Basic computer science/development knowledge
  • Communication and People Skills: Ability to engage with senior leadership, technical team members, and varied Boeing business and external stakeholders. Ability to tie daily work to larger strategic direction.
  • Experience working with international teams outside standard operating hours
  • Performance Management: Ability to identify the right skills for the right projects, experience coaching and mentoring peers and/or reports to continuous learning and improvement
  • Strong Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.
  • Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset.
  • Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with automation and cloud technologies tools such AWS, Azure, and GCP; Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation; and Linux operating system

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area: Berkeley MO, Mesa AZ, Tukwila WA, Colorado Springs CO, El Segundo CA, Fairfax VA, North Charleston SC or relocate at their own expense.

Colorado summary pay range: Min: 93,000 – Max: 165,000
