The Boeing Company is currently seeking Midlevel Software Engineers to join the Connected Digital Systems Software team located in Everett, WA.

We are looking for a passionate and talented software engineers for various positions in our organization. You will also have a chance to influence the direction of a critical and global group. If you love designing, developing and running systems and infrastructure that will help airborne software tools & analytics platform, then this is the place for you!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Performs software project management and software supplier management functions. Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.
  • Executes and documents software research and development projects.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
  • Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
  • Works under general direction.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Cloud based development [AWS/Azure]
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ALM tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker,  SonarQube , Jira, Ansible, Grafana).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, container orchestration, automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Working exposure with Agile (Scrum ) and DevOps

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Linux and bash scripting
  • Experience designing and implementing secure networks.
  • Experience with building data pipelines
  • Linux Administration
  • Kubernetes Administration
  • Experience with AWS (EKS) and/or Azure administration
  • Proven track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in CloudNative databases such as Bigquery , MySQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, PostGres, NoSQL

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
