The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Senior Manager (Level L) for MQ-25 Structures Team at the St. Louis, MO site. It is an exciting fast paced opportunity to lead a team of design and strength engineers supporting EMD & LRIP, including static, fatigue, and drop test.  You will manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural and Systems Design Engineering.

  • Develops and executes integrated program plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.  Includes Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities.

  • Acquires resources for program activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.  Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. 

  • Support design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

  • Support troubleshooting of delivered product operational / service anomalies and incidents

  • Participate in new business development, cost reduction, schedule acceleration, proposal development, etc. efforts

This position is expected to be almost 100% onsite. Limited virtual is can be accommodated if business conditions allow.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the St. Louis, MO location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 3+ years experience as a engineering manager.

  • 5+ years experience in aircraft structural analysis and/or design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Highly preferred: Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

  • Experience or coursework working with aircraft, missile, spacecraft, autonomous platform or similar vehicle structural design and/or analysis.

  • Experience in developing proposals and in customer interactions.

  • Experience in leading teams through design definition, Model Based Engineering release, build support, and ground & flight test support/execution.
