Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking an Associate Software Engineer USAF Trainers in Berkley, MO. Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft everything from F-15 fighter jets to Apache attack helicopters, and even NASA's new Starliner spacecraft.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Supports software project management and software supplier management functions.
  • Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics.
  • Performs software research and trade studies.
  • Troubleshoots software issues.
  • Works under general supervision


Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in a technical field of study.
     

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2 or more years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada.
  • Experience working in an Agile Development Environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in real-time, near real-time, or embedded systems
  • Classroom or work related experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test).
     

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Masters' ).

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option. (St. Louis, MO)
