Job Description

Boeing is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician & Inspector to join the PDX-Commercial Airplane Paint Operations group. This team operates out of PDX airport in the Portland, OR area.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight.

  • Perform Quality functions such as Customer/FAA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations.

  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

  • Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications.

  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • At least 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background

  • This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations.

  • Must be able to work any shift, overtime and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and / or a FCC License is preferred. If you have an A&P Certificate and / or FCC License, please note your certificate / license number on your resume.

  • A minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background

Typical Education/Experience: 

  • High school graduate or GED preferred.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

    • Will be subject to mandated drug and alcohol testing with random checks.
