The Boeing Company is currently seeking Entry Level Real-Time Software Engineers to join the Special Projects Dallas (SPD) Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Software Engineering team located in Richardson, or Dallas TX. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. Job Description Summary The selected entry-level software engineers will provide full software engineering life-cycle software design, development, integration and maintenance support for the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Mission Systems contracts. The candidate will be focused software engineering activities in support of multiple product lines. Position Responsibilities- Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
- Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Gathers information to support software project management.
- Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.
- Supports software research and development projects.
- Troubleshoots basic software issues.
- Works under close supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance: This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): - An active U.S. Secret Clearance Pre Start is required.
- Bachelor's degree, or higher in an Engineering discipline (Software, Systems, Computer Science or similar) by June 2022
- Experience with Software Engineering activities in LINUX-based C/C++/JAVA development environments
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Work or education experience in AGILE/DevOps methodologies
- Work or educational experience in Development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, interfaces and designs for software systems
Typical Education/Experience: - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master)
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Travel: - Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.
