The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Entry Level Technical Designer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2), Bombers, or the Executive Transport Services & Systems (ETS&S) programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains engineering product definition by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies to satisfy customer and production requirements
  • Coordinates engineering product definition with internal/external parties
  • Verifies engineering data by ensuring compliance to standards and integration of parts, instructions and tools. Investigates manufacturing processes or engineering related issues
  • Develops statements of work
  • Develops and validates new processes and procedures to increase the product quality and affordability

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
  • Experience with CATIA
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience creating structural/mechanical designs using Catia & Enovia
  • Current/Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance or a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) is a PLUS (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
  • Experience working 2D/3D wire routing
  • Experience with ENOVIA
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience).
