The Boeing Company is actively recruiting for a Mid-Level Design and Analysis Mechanical Engineer at the Seal Beach, CA area. This Design and Analysis Mechanical Engineer will develop and document complex electromechanical systems utilizing computer aided design. The candidate will support all phases of design cycles from Requirements, Concept, Layout, Drawings, Production, Qual / Functional Testing, Site Installation/Activation Support. Position Responsibilities: System requirements analysis and development System test requirements analysis and development interface design Mechanical analysis and design Interface hardware design Test analysis Hardware integration Research basic technologies for potential application to company business needs Support of problem resolution associated with fielded hardware
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Experience working with computer aided design such as CATIA, Solidworks, or Siemens NX
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in mechanical design of rotating and translating machinery, bearings, and gears Experience with Mechanical & Mechanism Systems Design, Flight Controls & Actuation for Air and Space Platforms
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
