Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Product and Service Quality Manager to join our team located in Auburn, WA.

This leader will possess the ability to work well with diverse groups and collaborate across organizational boundaries. They can implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment by relying on problem-solving, data, and analysis to drive decisions. Transformational leadership skills are necessary to build team engagement and lead quality team members in implementing key initiatives including One Boeing Production System, Defect Reduction, and Lean Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system. The successful candidate will find the implementation of new and innovative approaches including advanced process and production oversight methods to be an exciting and engaging aspect of their assignment.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services, and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures, and government regulations.

  • Provide education, coaching, and review of Quality Management System.

  • Develop and maintain relationships, partnerships, and communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports.

  • Develop and execute business plans, policies, and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.

  • Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams. (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team’s talent.)

  • 3+ years in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.

  • 3+ years with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.

  • Must be willing to work weekends on an overtime rotation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal setting.

  • Experience working in a Production setting.

  • Experience interacting with Airline Customers and Regulatory Agencies.
