The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Radar Design & Analysis Engineer (Level 2) to join the Boeing Bombers & Fighters Radar Capability Team to support the development, testing, and integration of new Radar modes & capabilities onto our platforms including F-15, F/A-18, B-52 and other emerging needs. This position will provide various opportunities for skill development and career growth. This Entry Level position will physically reside in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Support of new Radar capability development for Fighters & Bombers

  • Requirements definition, integration, analysis and test (lab and flight) of the new capabilities

  • Close coordination within the Radar Capability team and with other Boeing Fighters and Bombers teams

  • Collaboration with Suppliers and USAF and/or USN customer

  • Development and documentation of  moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements

  • Design of hardware and software interface specifications

  • Support of test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

  • Solving problems concerning hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

  • Researching specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Export Control:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems or coursework in RF theory

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active / Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred but not required

  • Oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers

  • Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical data

  • Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.

  • Experience with Systems Integration & Test

  • Avionics engineering experience

  • Experience with DOORS and/or ClearQuest

  • Experience with any coding languages  (Python, MATLAB)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
