Join the Boeing Commercial Airplanes - Product Development team to lead the acquisition, management, and interrogation of production data to support production analysis. This role is responsible for leadership of production data acquisition team, as well as partnering with the operations analysis team and production system design analysis team for future production systems. This leader will be a primary interface for production data acquisition and management to product development and our BCA programs, partnering with future production system architects, operations, fabrication, and manufacturing/safety.
This leader manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering. Responsibility includes technical strategies, technical management, and the execution of an aligned portfolio. This position requires the candidate to be 100% on-site, at Puget Sound WA Primary Responsibilities: Maintaining metrics to support the business unit and program strategy Leading team through effective and transformational leadership Maintaining and forecasting budget Supporting development and production (when needed) with sustaining and urgent requests Managing resources to maintain adequate support to prevent work stoppages or delays Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Degree or higher in an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 2+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline 3+ years of leading projects or teams Background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong quantitative ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Flexible and adaptable with a diverse, creative and innovative mindset Leading cross-functional groups Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role Be able to interact positively with people throughout Boeing & the partner/customer base
