Join the Boeing Commercial Airplane Product Development team to lead the transformation of our analysis of production systems. This role is responsible for strategy and leadership of production data acquisition and analysis, as well as production system design analysis for future production systems. This leader will be a primary interface for production analysis to the future production system architects, operations, fabrication, and manufacturing/safety. Further, this role will ensure appropriate coordination with IT and digital transformation partners.

This leader manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering. Responsibility includes technical strategies, technical management, and the execution of an aligned portfolio.

This position requires the candidate to be 100% on-site, at Everett, WA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining metrics to support the business unit and program strategy

  • Leading team through effective and transformational leadership 

  • Maintaining and forecasting budget

  • Supporting development and production (when needed) with sustaining and urgent requests

  • Managing resources to maintain adequate support to prevent work stoppages or delays

  • Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Managing, developing and motivating employees

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Degree or higher in an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience do you have leading and managing diverse teams

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline

  • Background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong quantitative ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Be flexible and adaptable with a diverse, creative and innovative mindset

  • Minimum of 5years with leading cross-functional groups

  • Minimum of 5 year in a leadership role

  • Be able to interact positively with people throughout Boeing & the partner/customer base
