Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for an Experienced Tool & Fixture Specialist (level B), to support CTSC Cutter Grind activities, based out of North Charleston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs routine tool set up activities to manufacture or modify Cutting Tools within .0002 of an inch;

• Makes minor repairs. Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools;

• Operates various factory conventional and CNC machinery to modify, and create cutting tools;

• Provides emergent cutting tool support to other organizations;

• Assists in determining Cutting Tool fabrication and assembly processes;

• Assists in reverse engineering design and fabrication processes for cutting tools;

• Performs required cutting tool inspections.
   

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years’ experience in cutting tool fabrication or parts machining;

• 1+ years’ experience with measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.;

• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing parts to blueprint or drawings;

• 1+ years’ of Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, on a regular basis;
   

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Machine Tool Technology Certification;

• Experience fabricating cutting tools to the National Aerospace Standards;

• Experience using digital analyzer/measuring equipment;

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills/Team player attitude.
   

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
