Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an experienced Business Operations Specialist (Level 4) to join our Business Operations team. This position will act as a business integrator supporting Global Technical Operations (GTO) Field Operations leadership team. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to help Field Operations to run their business, handle risks and implement strategies. 

Field Operations supports government programs at ~180 worldwide locations with over 90% customer sites.  It provides core capabilities in retrofit and modification installations, heavy maintenance and overhaul, technical field support and services, and customer support planning, flight line maintenance, logistical services and management.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals for authorization, such as sourcing strategy for dedication of work, cost imperatives, deployment analysis and impact mitigation

  • Supports the coordination and clarifies the analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals and develop business case

  • Coordinates the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the case

  • Meets with leadership to gain approval

  • Provides implementation direction for work authorization

  • Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance

  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution

  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed Boeing BGS site location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in a role requiring project / program management skills

  • Experience collaborating with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership

  • Experience maintaining and/or developing Key Performance Indicators metrics

  • Experience leading cross-functional and/or project teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience coaching or mentoring others, including those that may not be your direct reports

  • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment

  • Experience with data analysis / visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must reside within proximity to one of the listed Boeing BGS locations or relocate at their own expense.
