The Boeing Company is looking for a Technology, Tools & Processes Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA.

Transport Data Systems (TDS) is part of the Boeing Test & Evaluation Flight Test Engineering (FTE) community, responsible for developing, maintaining and evolving essential products utilized by our FTE partners. These products span all aspects of flight testing, from pre-flight test configuration and setup, data acquisition and recording, data processing and visualization to post-test data analytics. TDS has an exciting culture of innovation that’s leveraged to drive our overall FTE technology evolution forward.

In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of our technology strategy, FTE tool and process management as well as ensuring TDS utilization of project management best practices. You will also collaborate closely with FTE Test Program Managers supporting the BCA Product Development organization to proactively align TDS technology strategies with future programs’ needs. In this role you will demonstrate passion for continuous learning and improving how we work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of technology strategy development, tools, process and project management

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team’s energy and expertise to achieve common objectives

  • Develop and maintains relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, peers, and direct reports

  • Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, staffing plans, metrics and performance measures

  • Strive to continuously innovate to improve existing processes and frameworks

  • Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, and active listening to manage, develop and motivate employees

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, electrical/electronics, aerospace, computer science, mathematics, or physics

  • 3+ years of experience in a leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in training and/or mentoring in a technical environment

  • Experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment

  • Experience with technical project management
